Bible Class Topic for the Week

Part II on the Current Topic "The Godly Man"
Everyone has been great and as of today we have seen over 324 hits on the blog site!!!
In this second class, we are moving away from our thoughts and ideas, which have been very revealing, to the awesome Word of God.

Assignment #3: Post the most relevant scriptures that outline the biblical responsibiities of a Godly Man.

One of my favorites is found in Ephesians 5, especially verse 25 which begins with "Husbands love your wives" that is a major point just by itself.  But then, Paul goes on to emphasize that we must love our wives "even as Christ also loved the church"!!!! Take a few minutes to absorb that comment as we prepare for Wednesday's class.

And remember, bring your electronic devices with you and God bless.

Last week's topic "The Godly Man" (Part I)
Assignment #1: List five characteristics that you like to see in a godly man.

Assignment #2: List five characteristics that you prefer not to see in a godly man.

Start posting your answers early in order to cover the most popular and the most intriguing responses during class.

And remember, bring your tablets, ipads, laptops, and android devices with you on Wednesday!  See you there!

  10. This was my response in Bible Class tonight:

To me, a godly man will have enough wisdom to ask for help and be willing to take advice from those who have gone the way he's going. A man that can take instruction and advice is a godly man.

I would also like to add:

A man who understands he is the head of his household and what that truly means. The scripture says the man is the head of the wife and God is the head of the man. Is he listening to his head??

  15. I see this scripture applying in to a Godly man:

The steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord, and He delights in his way. Though he fall, he shall not be utterly cast down; for the Lord upholds him with His hand.” (Psalm 37:23-24 NKJV)

This man is not moving by his power but relying on the power and guidance of God.

    1. Yes, this was very profound!! Ephesians 5:25-27. The point brought out by Pastor Jackson was that verse 27 took place before verse 25 could even happen; God had to show his awesome love for us (dying on the cross) so that "man" would know how to show awesome "love" to his wife!!!
